Support
Taqweem is made by one person. If something is broken or confusing, email support@taqweem.uk and you will get a reply.
Before you write
Including these makes a problem much faster to fix:
- Your device and iOS version
- The app version, shown at the top of Drawer → About
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
- A screenshot, if it is something you can see
Common questions
+Prayer times differ from my local mosque
Mosques choose a calculation method, and they differ by a few minutes — sometimes more for Fajr and Isha. Open Settings and set Calculation Method to the one your mosque uses, then check Madhab: Hanafi shifts Asr later than Shafi, which is the single most common cause of a mismatch. If a specific prayer is still off by a fixed amount, use the per-prayer adjustments in Settings to nudge it.
+Notifications stopped arriving
Check three things, in order. First, iOS Settings → Notifications → Taqweem, and confirm alerts are allowed. Second, any Focus mode you have on — prayer alerts are marked Time Sensitive so they break through, but other reminders are not. Third, iOS allows an app only 64 scheduled notifications at a time; if you have enabled many reminder types at once, the furthest-out ones are dropped. Turning off reminders you do not need restores the rest.
+Setting up the CarPlay travel duaa
The duaa plays through a Shortcuts automation, which is a one-time setup: open Shortcuts → Automation → New → CarPlay → "Connects", then choose Run Shortcut and pick "Play travel duaa". Taqweem's Travel Duaa settings screen walks through the same steps with illustrations. You can also say "Play travel duaa in Taqweem" to Siri at any time.
+The app cannot find my location
Taqweem only requests location while you are using it. If prayer times will not load, check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services is on, and that Taqweem is set to "While Using the App". If you would rather not share location at all, you can search for your city by name in Settings instead.
+My Apple Watch is not showing the right times
The watch receives times and settings from the iPhone. Open the app on the phone once with the watch nearby and in range, which triggers a sync. If a complication still looks stale, remove and re-add it — watchOS caches complication timelines aggressively.
Still stuck
Email support@taqweem.uk. Bug reports and feature requests are both welcome — Taqweem is built around how people actually pray, so corrections about the texts or the calculations are especially useful.
